We use this word RESPECT very often, but have you used this word which means 尊重する?

For instance, let's think about a life- prolonging treatment.

an old patient A: I don’t want a life-prolonging treatment.

an old patient B: I want it.

In this case, what should you do?

You stop the treatment, or not?

I suppose you must respect the will of the individual.
